It's been an eventful day in "X-Files" fandom and Philes from Los Angeles to Sarajevo have yet another reason to keep on believing!
While a third film is not confirmed at this time, it is obvious that there have been talks behind the scenes and that Gillian Anderson is most certainly on board. "They've talked about doing it in 2012. I think there were some discussions about that." Gillian told the crowd during "Coffee with..." at the Sarajevo Film Festival today.
Phile Frenzy even resulted in fans spamming Frank Spotnitz' mail bag and his Chris Carter response, while expected, did reaffirm one major theme- "I'm afraid I have no news to report - other than our continuing dsire to make a third film if there's an audience for it."
Do you believe there is an audience? If so, what are you waiting for? Join the XF3 Army and help spread the word!

I know my reflex is to say "OF COURSE THERE'S A @#&*$ AUDIENCE" but I guess they want more than the hardcore fans.
Besides selling my soul to the devil (pretty sure I'm on #13 of my soul-selling career), I think I'm going to have to do my own promotion for the movie. I'm thinking wearing that white sign over my body that says "THE END OF THE WORLD IS NEAR" and walk around St. Louis. And tell them the only way to prevent an alien invasion is to see XF3.
